Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for night shifts with at least 2 years of recent experience and required ARRT(CT), BLS, and NM state licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based catscan and X-ray unit
- Schedule is 12-hour night shifts from 7pm to 7am on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
- Floating between departments and to local locations within a 20-mile radius is required
- Adult and geriatric patient population undergoing CT imaging
- Uses Epic EMR; experience preferred
- Performs CT scans and X-ray studies per established protocols and prioritizes exams for clinical appropriateness
- Responsible for effective communication in critical situations and adherence to hospital procedures
- Returning perm staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
- No local candidates allowed within a 50-mile radius
- Completion of all required testing and orientation modules is required on the first day
- Scrubs or specific dress code not stated
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CT technologist experience
- Current NM state license required if applicable
- Primary ARRT certification and ARRT(CT) required
- BLS certification required from AHA, ARC, or ASHI
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
- Must be proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
- Must use and rotate quarterly a dosimeter badge for radiation monitoring
