Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with ARRT registration, CT certification, BLS (AHA), and at least one year of specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a diagnostic radiology unit completing a variety of X-ray procedures
- Patient population and case types consistent with general diagnostic radiology
- Schedule consists of three 10-hour shifts and one 9-hour shift per week, with day and evening hours
- Shifts may include Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday or Saturday
- Utilizes Epic EMR for charting
- Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) required for assignment
- Perform radiographic procedures as ordered, including positioning, immobilizing, and transferring patients
- Operate X-ray equipment and practice radiation safety measures according to protocol
- Administer contrast as directed by a radiologist following established protocols
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and radiologists
- Evaluate image quality and coordinate examination workflow for timely patient care
- Supervise and mentor student radiographers in the clinical setting
- Compliance with sterile technique, infection prevention, and department supply management is expected
- Permanent staff must be separated from any related facility for at least one year to be eligible
Requirements
- Active ARRT registration and CT certification required
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required and must not expire during assignment
- At least one year of experience in radiology required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- License required if applicable
