Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with ARRT registration, CT certification, BLS (AHA), and at least one year of specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a diagnostic radiology unit completing a variety of X-ray procedures
• Patient population and case types consistent with general diagnostic radiology
• Schedule consists of three 10-hour shifts and one 9-hour shift per week, with day and evening hours
• Shifts may include Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday or Saturday
• Utilizes Epic EMR for charting
• Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) required for assignment
• Perform radiographic procedures as ordered, including positioning, immobilizing, and transferring patients
• Operate X-ray equipment and practice radiation safety measures according to protocol
• Administer contrast as directed by a radiologist following established protocols
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and radiologists
• Evaluate image quality and coordinate examination workflow for timely patient care
• Supervise and mentor student radiographers in the clinical setting
• Compliance with sterile technique, infection prevention, and department supply management is expected
• Permanent staff must be separated from any related facility for at least one year to be eligible

Requirements

• Active ARRT registration and CT certification required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required and must not expire during assignment
• At least one year of experience in radiology required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• License required if applicable
