Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active IN or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a mixed Med/Surg and Oncology acute care unit
• Patient ratios are typically 1:5 or 1:6
• Shift schedule consists of 3x12 hour night shifts
• Every schedule requires 4 weekend shifts for night shift (Friday/Saturday) including at least 1 Sunday
• Travelers are required to float within scope, including to an 8-bed prison unit
• Allscripts is used for charting
• The unit cares for general medical and oncology patients within a larger Med/Surg department
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Must be competent, reliable, flexible, and a team player
• Applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, with local rates applying within 50-100 miles
