Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a TN or compact RN license and strong experience with advanced obstetric procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Labor & Delivery hospital unit
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Weekend coverage and on-call duties are required
• Floating to related units based on skill set may be required
• Patient care includes triage assessments, inductions, cesarean sections, external versions, non-stress tests, circumcisions, newborn resuscitation and stabilization, and magnesium sulfate administration
• EPIC EMR is used for documentation
• Responsible for providing comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns including specialized procedures
• Team-based environment with support from experienced healthcare professionals
• Must be flexible to work weekends and take call as scheduled
• Must adhere to applicable dress code and work environment policies

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
• Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• At least one year of recent experience using EPIC EMR required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• No first-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates must live more than 100 miles from any Prisma facility (with exceptions for night shift requiring 50+ mile radius)
• Two professional references required for consideration
