Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a weekend day shift position requiring CA licensure and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• CT scan department in an acute care hospital setting
• Friday through Sunday schedule: Fridays 11:30 AM–10:00 PM, Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 AM–7:30 PM (3x10-hour shifts)
• No on-call or weekend call requirements beyond the scheduled shifts
• Competently performs routine and specialized CT procedures to produce diagnostic-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers
• Works independently using sound clinical judgment to execute safe and precise imaging procedures in a timely manner
• Responsible for patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
• May assist with orienting other staff to the department
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a local rate
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
• Former employees of this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Active CA CRT license required (license required if applicable)
• Active CA Venipuncture license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• All certifications must be AHA-issued and in hand at time of consideration
• 2 supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• 7-year work history verification required
