Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of recent CT experience, trauma experience, and Siemens equipment proficiency for a mid/day shift contract position in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and/or outpatient hospital CT setting
• Adult patient population
• Procedures include abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, CTA, CCTAs (preferred), brain perfusion, multiplanar reconstruction (preferred), aspirations/biopsies (preferred), and drainage (preferred)
• Preparation and administration of contrast media and starting IVs are required skills
• Siemens CT equipment is used in this department
• Epic EMR is used; experience expected
• Shift schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 1:00 PM–9:30 PM; Thursday 3:00 PM–11:30 PM; Saturday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM with call
• Option to pick up an additional shift each week to reach 40 hours when requested
• Hurricane emergency response sign-up is required
• Smoke-free facility
• Proof of vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
• Candidates must have all certifications in hand at time of consideration
• Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are considered at a local pay rate
• This is a smoke-free facility
• A pass/fail EKG and Basic Arrhythmia assessment is required prior to starting; travelers who do not score 100% on lethal rhythms will have the opportunity to retake a dysrhythmia exam within 24 hours and must meet minimum passing thresholds before beginning their first shift
• Study guides and tips for the arrhythmia assessment are available through the facility's online orientation portal

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent CT Technologist experience
• Trauma experience required
• ARRT-CT certification required
• Current BLS via AHA or ARC required
• FL state license or compact license required (license required if applicable)
• Proficiency with Siemens CT equipment required
• Experience with PACS, isolation precautions, and contrast media administration required
• Adult patient care experience required
