Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical Transplant Coordinator (kidney-pancreas) position requiring prior travel experience and a DC RN license.

Responsibilities

• Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Role functions as a Transplant Coordinator specializing in kidney-pancreas organ transplant
• Day shift schedule: 5x8 hours (8:00–17:00)
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• No floating required
• 13-week contract
• Serves as a Transplant Coordinator for kidney-pancreas organ transplant patients
• Flu vaccination required for all travelers at this facility
• Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
• A local bill rate applies to candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial application

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required; pending DC license accepted but must be in hand prior to start
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in clinic or acute inpatient Med/Surg
• Completion of at least one prior travel nursing assignment required
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
