Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT RT(R)(CT) certification and at least 6 months of Level 1 Trauma experience.

Responsibilities

  • CT Scan department within an 865-bed Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
  • 4x10-hour day shifts, Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM, at the main campus
  • Holiday rotation required
  • On-call rotation shared with staff
  • Floating within clinical scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities
  • Daily caseload varies by shift and location
  • Charting performed in Epic
  • First-time travelers will be considered provided they have relevant prior experience
  • Former permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; approval is based on manager and unit needs
  • Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
  • Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins
  • All employees and contractors are assigned to emergency response teams and may be activated during emergencies such as hurricanes
  • Scrub colors: teal top and black bottom
  • Parking is available on nights and weekends with a one-time $20 parking pass fee

Requirements

  • Current BLS (AHA only), ARRT RT(R)(CT), and SC Radiologist Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) R(CT) certification required
  • Minimum 6 months of Level 1 Trauma experience required; 1 year of CT experience preferred
  • Siemens equipment experience required
  • SC license required if applicable — must be active and in hand; pending licenses will not be accepted
  • Epic EMR experience
  • SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • Candidate-provided radiation badge required — the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
