Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down (HVTI) position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, requiring at least 18 months of Step-Down experience and an Ohio or Compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Step-Down (HVTI) unit within a large academic hospital setting
• Potential to float to other units (J1-2, J33) and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Day/Night rotating shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Shift rotation may be required to meet the operational needs of the unit

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in Step-Down or a related specialty prior to traveling
• Minimum 18 months of recent Step-Down experience (travel experience counts toward this requirement)
• PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred but not required
• ECG rhythm recognition proficiency required (assessment completed during orientation)
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment are completed during orientation; acceptable scores on both are required to continue
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location; a minimum 6-month break is required before beginning another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic facility
