Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Clyde, NC, with additional MRI float capability preferred.

Details

• Work in the Radiology/CT Scan department of a 154-bed, Joint Commission Accredited Duke LifePoint Hospital
• Facility specialties include orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, behavioral health, and a Chest Pain Center
• Patient population includes adults, geriatrics, and some pediatrics
• Patient caseload is approximately 20–30 patients per tech, shared between two techs
• Procedures include CT biopsy, drainage, Coronary CTA, Nerve Root blocks, and fluoroscopy on the CT machine
• GE CT equipment used; Paragon EHR (experience preferred)
• Schedule is three 12-hour day shifts per week, Wednesday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• On-call required a couple of nights per week, rotated among techs
• Weekend hours required only to cover PTO
• Float to MRI preferred if qualified

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• ARRT certification with R and CT registration required
• Ability to perform CT-guided procedures including biopsy, drainage, Coronary CTA, Nerve Root blocks, or at minimum fluoroscopy on the CT machine
• License required if applicable
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• RQI certifications are not accepted
• MRI experience preferred

Additional Information

• Orientation is held bi-weekly
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Black scrubs required; t-shirts and hoodies are not acceptable attire
• Located in Clyde, NC, approximately 20 miles from Asheville and within driving distance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park
