Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Perioperative Circulator for an Adult Surgery OR position requiring at least one year of acute OR experience and Level 1 trauma experience.

Details

• Hospital-based operating room setting within an Adult Surgery unit
• Perioperative circulator role serving adult surgical patients undergoing operative and other invasive procedures
• Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Holiday coverage and on-call responsibilities required
• Minimum 6 months of Level 1 trauma experience required for this assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and perioperative nursing practices
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Full date of birth and full SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for direct and indirect provision of professional nursing care for patients in the OR throughout the perioperative continuum
• Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of care using the nursing process
• Individualizes patient care based on health status, age, and the specific surgery or procedure being performed
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period; extensions are permitted once, for a maximum total of 26 weeks
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
