Description

American Traveler is hiring an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist for a cardiac cath lab position requiring 1+ year of cath lab experience and an active ARRT or RCIS certification.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab setting at an acute care hospital
• Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures including cardiac and vascular imaging
• 4x10 hour day shifts
• On-call required on both weekdays and weekends
• 40 hours per week
• Charts using Epic EMR

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Cath Lab / Cardiology specialty required; 2 years preferred
• One of the following active certifications required: ARRT-Radiography (R), ARRT-Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV), ARRT-Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI), CCI-RCIS, or CCI-RCES
• Fluoroscopy Operator Registration required (not required for candidates holding an ARRT certification)
• Current BLS and ACLS, both issued by the American Heart Association, required and must not expire prior to start
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
• Active license required if applicable
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assists physicians during radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, acting as scrub assistant and maintaining sterile conditions
• Operates imaging equipment and monitors and documents procedure images and events from the control room
• Provides patient care under RN supervision and educates patients and families regarding procedures and pre/post-procedure expectations
• Maintains appropriate stock levels for complex interventional and diagnostic procedures and assists with unit cleanliness and order
• Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation per departmental standards and contributes to quality and patient safety initiatives
• Radiation badge will be provided by the agency/supplier
• Candidates who have worked permanently at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
