Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience to support a stroke center in Anchorage, AK, with stroke coverage capability required.
Details
- Located in the CT Scan department on the 2nd floor of a 250-bed acute care hospital
- Supports a designated Stroke Center and must be able to cover stroke-related CT imaging
- Performs all routine CT exams as well as invasive procedures
- Uses a GE 64-Slice CT scanner and documents in Epic EMR with McKesson PACS
- Day shift schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
- On-call and weekend requirements as needed
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- No floating required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT technologist experience, with at least 6 months of experience within the last 6 months
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- Current BLS (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of start)
- Ability to perform all routine CT exams, including invasive procedures
- Stroke coverage capability required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — no local candidates accepted
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- License required if applicable
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Perform all routine CT exams and invasive procedures, including stroke protocol imaging
- IV insertion skills are preferred
- Day shift team typically consists of 2–3 CT Techs
- Gray scrubs required
- Unit policies and guidelines will be reviewed with the candidate on-site
- Alaska state fingerprint and background check required prior to clearance
