Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift contract position requiring Epic EMR experience and Level 1 Trauma background.

• CT Scan department in an acute care hospital setting
• Level 1 Trauma facility
• 3x12-hour night shifts, Tuesday through Thursday
• 36 hours per week
• Epic EMR is used; experience required

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology
• ARRT (R) or NMTCB certification required
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• IEMA Radiography License required (license required if applicable)
• BLS (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant CT technologist experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Proficiency in multiplanar reformats and 3D rendered image processing
• IV contrast administration and venipuncture skills required
• English fluency required (speak, read, write)

Additional Information

• Perform CT/computerized axial tomography procedures including multiplanar reformats and 3D rendered images independently
• Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast as appropriate; recognize and respond to adverse or allergic reactions
• Review radiology orders, patient history, labs, and supporting clinical data to ensure exam accuracy and medical necessity
• Transfer and verify image data in PACS and provide necessary medical history for radiologist interpretation
• Utilize web server/EA viewer and email system to send exams for preliminary readings after hours
• Maintain imaging equipment, supply inventories, and orderliness of the work area; report malfunctions promptly
• May be required to perform duties in other modalities within the department for which applicable licensure is held
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
