Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a weekend night shift contract position, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting with Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- CT Scan department in an acute care hospital setting
- Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required
- Required certifications: ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), and BLS (AHA)
- IEMA Radiography License required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of relevant CT Technologist experience
- Level 1 Trauma facility experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- English proficiency (speak, read, write) required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Performs CT procedures including multiplanar reformats and 3D rendered image reconstruction independently
- Administers IV, oral, and rectal contrast as appropriate; recognizes and responds to adverse or allergic reactions
- Reviews labs and patient history to determine correct exam protocol and collaborates with radiologists as needed
- Screens patients for pregnancy and performs pregnancy testing when applicable
- May perform duties of CT Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence
- May be required to perform duties in other modalities within the scope of held licensure
- Assists in the instruction of students and new staff as needed
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days for the duration of the 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning after reaching 1 year
