Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT RT(R)(CT) certification and at least 6 months of Level 1 Trauma experience.

Details

• CT Scan department within an 865-bed Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
• Daily caseload varies per shift and location
• 4x10-hour shifts, Tuesday–Friday, 10:00 AM–8:30 PM, with holiday rotation
• On-call rotation required
• Floating within clinical scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities
• Charts in Epic

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months Level 1 Trauma experience required; 1 year of CT experience preferred
• Current BLS (AHA), ARRT RT(R)(CT), and SCRQSA R(CT) certifications required
• Siemens CT equipment experience required
• SC state license must be in hand at time of start; license required if applicable
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Agency must supply a personal radiation badge — the facility does not provide radiation badges to travelers

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted provided they have relevant prior experience
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
• Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
• Parking is free on nights and weekends; a one-time $20 fee applies for a parking pass
• All employees and contractors are assigned to emergency response storm teams; travelers should be aware that hurricane season runs June through November, with peak activity in August and September
