Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience to work in the Imaging department of a newly built pediatric Level II trauma facility in Tacoma, WA.

Details

  • Pediatric hospital imaging department setting at a newly built (opened May 2026) 152-bed Level II trauma facility, including a 70-bed NICU
  • Patient population is pediatric, ages 0-18, covering all types and diagnoses
  • Uses Siemens Definition Edge and Biograph MCT Flow Edge (PET/CT) scanners
  • 10-hour mid shifts, Thursday through Saturday, 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM
  • No floating required
  • On-call is possible but limited to off-hours and weekends, capped at no more than 24 hours per month
  • Weekend rotation is dependent upon the shift taken

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience; pediatric experience preferred
  • ARRT (CT) certification required
  • Current BLS required
  • Washington State license required if applicable
  • Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated patience and kindness when working with pediatric patients and their families

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • At least one professional reference from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, etc.) is required for initial consideration; a second reference will be needed prior to start
  • Any color scrubs are acceptable
  • Free garage and street parking is available on-site; local light rail is a convenient alternative if parking is difficult
