Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Carmel, IN, requiring BLS and NRP certifications for a night shift, 13-week contract.

Details

8-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 3 triage rooms, 2 OR suites, and 4 antepartum (ATP) rooms
Nurses circulate for C-sections
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
36 hours per week
Rotating holidays and every third weekend required
13-week contract

Requirements

Active Indiana RN license or Compact RN license required
Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NRP (AHA/AAP)
ACLS (AHA) preferred
Fetal monitoring certification required — AWHONN, Relias, or equivalent within the past 2 years if not covered on competency exam
NRP Advanced (AHA/AAP) preferred
Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
Driver's license, two professional references, and copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and carrying out physician and nursing orders
Discharge planning coordination with the healthcare team is expected
Local candidates are welcome to apply; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a modified pay rate
COVID vaccination is not required for this position
