Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Carmel, IN, requiring BLS and NRP certifications for a night shift, 13-week contract.
Details
- 8-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 3 triage rooms, 2 OR suites, and 4 antepartum (ATP) rooms
- Nurses circulate for C-sections
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Rotating holidays and every third weekend required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NRP (AHA/AAP)
- ACLS (AHA) preferred
- Fetal monitoring certification required — AWHONN, Relias, or equivalent within the past 2 years if not covered on competency exam
- NRP Advanced (AHA/AAP) preferred
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
- Driver's license, two professional references, and copies of certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and carrying out physician and nursing orders
- Discharge planning coordination with the healthcare team is expected
- Local candidates are welcome to apply; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a modified pay rate
- COVID vaccination is not required for this position
