Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Telemetry position at a cardiac-focused medical center in Hickory, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and AHA certifications.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with 24 beds
• Cardiac patient population ranging from young adults to elderly adults
• Common diagnoses and treatments include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, pre- and post-care for cardiac caths (groin and radial), and VATS
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Equipment includes LifePak, Zoll, and Masimo monitoring devices
• Cerner EHR (experience preferred)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Associate's degree in Nursing required
• Experience with LifePak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

• Part of a Duke LifePoint Health system — candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Orientation is held twice monthly
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
