Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN Perioperative Circulator for an Adult Surgery OR position requiring a minimum of one year of acute OR experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Adult Surgery Operating Room setting
• Perioperative circulator role serving adult surgical patients undergoing operative and other invasive procedures
• Patient care is individualized based on health status, age, and the specific surgery or procedure being performed
• Night shift schedule: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights
• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Holiday and on-call coverage required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required; all certifications must be AHA-issued
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute hospital Operating Room required
• Level 1 trauma experience of 6+ months required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• Strong understanding of AORN Standards
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsible for direct and indirect professional nursing care for patients in the OR, including ongoing evaluation and documentation of all care components within the perioperative environment
• Applies clinical knowledge and judgment based on scientific principles to address patients' physical, psychological, and spiritual needs during surgical and invasive procedures
• Some computer skills required
• Previous travelers who have completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for another contract
• Full DOB and full SSN are required for consideration
• Compliance deadlines at this facility are strictly enforced and non-negotiable; candidates should be prepared to begin the onboarding process immediately upon commitment
