Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and IV Certification for an overnight position at an orthopedic specialty hospital in Manhattan.

Details

• Orthopedic specialty hospital setting in Manhattan near Union Square
• Inpatient and outpatient imaging department within a specialty orthopedic hospital
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily caseload of up to 20 patients; low-volume, steady-paced overnight shift
• CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
• X-ray procedures include extremities, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Portable X-ray equipment used on shift
• Candidate may be rotated across multiple departments within the hospital or at an affiliated off-site location
• Night shift: 5x8 hours, midnight to 8:30 AM, Monday through Friday
• First 2 weeks of the assignment are day shift for training; regular night schedule begins upon completion
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certifications required
• Current NYS license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS, DOHNYS, and IV Certification required
• Proficiency in performing X-rays required
• Experience across inpatient, outpatient, ER, and adult ICU settings
• Experience with portable X-ray equipment
• Siemens equipment experience preferred
• COVID vaccination required — no exceptions
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or move patients and equipment in excess of 150 lbs, with or without assistive devices

• Charcoal grey scrubs required
• RTO is limited to 5 days or less for the duration of the assignment; no RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Parking is available at no cost via an assigned employee garage
