Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a dual-modality CT and X-Ray role at an orthopedic specialty hospital in Manhattan, requiring ARRT R & CT certifications, NYS licensure, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Inpatient and outpatient orthopedic specialty hospital setting in Manhattan
• Dual-modality role performing both CT scans and X-Rays
• Daily caseload of up to 20 patients across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
• X-Ray procedures include extremities, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Experience with portable equipment required; caseload includes both exam room and portable imaging
• May be rotated across multiple departments within the hospital or at an affiliated off-site location across the street
• Regular schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 2:30 PM to 12:00 AM (4x9-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch)
• Training schedule for the first two weeks is Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT and X-Ray technologist experience
• Active ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required at time of consideration
• Valid, active NYS license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
• IV Certification required at time of consideration
• Current BLS required
• Experience operating Siemens CT equipment required
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, and adult ICU settings
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move patients and equipment in excess of 150 lbs, with or without assistive devices
• COVID vaccination required — no exceptions

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• RTO of 5 days or less is permitted; no RTO approved within the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Former travelers must have been away for at least 1 year before returning to this facility
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Complimentary parking is available in an assigned employee garage upon badge pickup; street parking is also available
• Charcoal grey scrubs required
