Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatrics position requiring chemotherapy/oncology experience, APHON certification, and a minimum of 1.5 years of experience.

Details

• Work in a general pediatrics unit with hem/onc, ortho, and surgical patient populations
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required
• Floating required to PICU and NICU for appropriate assignments, with potential for additional float units based on skill set and hospital need
• Block scheduling and special scheduling requests cannot be accommodated unless approved at time of booking; RTO requests must be submitted in advance
• Charting system: Epic

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, PALS, and APHON
• NRP and OCN certifications preferred
• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required
• General pediatrics experience required
• Chemotherapy/oncology experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required
• Copies of all certifications required

• Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
