Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a float pool Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring Cerner experience and a willingness to float across multiple facilities in the Tucson, AZ area.
Details
- Float pool position requiring willingness to float between Med/Surg, Med/Surg Telemetry, Transitional Care, and Emergency Services departments
- Floating is required across four facilities in the Tucson, AZ area
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
- Patient ratio of 6:1
- Cerner EMR experience is required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of start)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for providing patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies, including critical thinking, clinical judgment, and delegation of care priorities
- Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel
- Any scrub color is acceptable
- RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
