Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a float pool Med/Surg Telemetry position in Tucson, AZ, working night shifts across multiple facilities with Cerner EMR experience required.

• Float pool position requiring willingness to float between multiple facilities in the Tucson area
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Cerner EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or compact license recognized in Arizona
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the start date)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Valid driver's license required
• US Social Security Number required

• Applies the nursing process to deliver patient care in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and prioritizing safe patient care
• Delegates and supervises patient care assignments based on staff education and experience
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local travelers
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
