Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Technologist / Rad Tech for a 13-week assignment in Andalusia, AL, requiring 2+ years of recent experience in Radiology and CT.

Details

• Radiology/CT Scan department in an acute care hospital setting
• Mid shift: 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
• Five 8-hour shifts per week
• Required to float between the X-Ray and CT departments
• Weekends on request

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in both Radiology and CT
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and CT required
• BLS certification required through the American Heart Association — RCIS certifications not accepted
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology required; CT technology certificate program preferred
• License required if applicable — candidates with a pending license must provide proof
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include reviewing patient history and physician orders, preparing and positioning patients, performing CT and X-ray imaging procedures, and transmitting scan results
• Administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice as ordered
• Monitors patient condition throughout the exam and responds to changes in status as appropriate
• Performs quality control procedures on equipment and troubleshoots malfunctions as needed
• Analyzes image quality and takes corrective action, including repositioning and repeating procedures when necessary
• Candidates who have previously worked at a Kindred facility in a permanent or contract capacity should be prepared to disclose that information
• All certifications must remain valid through at least 30 days after the assignment start date
