Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a cardiovascular imaging unit, requiring ARRT RT(R) and RT(CT) certifications along with an active NJ license.

Details

• Cardiovascular imaging department within an acute care hospital setting
• Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM (PM shift)
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
• 13-week contract
• Uses Epic for charting
• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• ARRT RT(R) and ARRT RT(CT) certifications required
• Active NJ State X-Ray License (NJDEP) required
• Current BLS certification required
• HS diploma or GED required, along with completion of an accredited Radiographer/Radiography training program
• Epic EMR experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 2 references required for consideration
• Active NJ license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging procedures including routine, emergent, and unscheduled cases, with priority protocols for Code Grey, Trauma, and Partial Trauma
• Responsible for acquiring, processing, and verifying images in PACS/RIS per established protocol, and notifying the radiologist of urgent or unusual findings
• Assess patients for contrast tolerance, screen for allergies and medication incompatibilities, and monitor patient condition before and after contrast injections
• Adhere to venipuncture and power injector protocols
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of CT rooms, gantry, table, and peripheral equipment after each use
• Participate in daily inventory, supply stocking, and QA/QC requirements for daily, monthly, and ACR specifications
• Communicate with nursing staff, radiologists, and other departments regarding patient status and transport coordination
• Travelers who have been on assignment for one calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment
