Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN Perioperative Circulator for an ambulatory surgery center position requiring at least one year of acute OR experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Work setting is an ambulatory surgery center (ASC)
• Perioperative circulator role within the surgical services department
• Ophthalmology experience preferred
• Schedule is four 8-10 hour days per week, 6:30am–5:00pm
• No call, no weekends, and no holiday requirements
• 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of one year of experience in an acute operating room environment
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and perioperative nursing practices
• CNOR certification preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsible for direct and indirect professional nursing care for surgical patients, including planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating care in the perioperative environment
• Individualizes patient care according to health status, age, and the specific surgery or procedure being performed
• Accountable for ongoing documentation of all components of care using the nursing process
• Previous travelers who have completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for a new contract
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) is strictly enforced and must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer
