Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with at least 2 years of OR experience and pediatric experience for a 13-week travel contract requiring on-call availability and flexibility to float.

Details

• Works in the Operating Room of a hospital setting serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Surgical services include ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery
• Schedule is 12-hour day shifts: Fridays 6:30AM–7:00PM, Saturdays and Sundays 7:00AM–7:30PM
• On-call is required, averaging approximately 4 call shifts per month with varying types: end-of-shift (7PM–11PM), overnight (7PM–7AM), or backup call (3PM–7AM)
• Floating is required; travelers are first to float and may float to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the primary facility
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Pediatric OR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Degree accreditation documentation required, or minimum 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility's permanent address (strictly enforced)
• Two references required for consideration: one within the past year, one additional reference acceptable beyond one year

Additional Information

• Expected to function at the level of core staff and integrate into the team culture
• No block scheduling requests will be accommodated
• Orientation begins on a Friday; remote orientation is followed by an in-person visit to the facility for badge and ID — candidates must be on-site that Friday
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and will not be approved after an offer is made
• Candidates must be prepared to secure full-time local housing in the area for the duration of the contract
