Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 16-week night shift contract requiring prior travel experience, CT and Rad ARRT certifications, and Epic proficiency.

Details

• CT Scan unit in a community hospital setting
• Equipment includes a Philips Ingenuity 64 CT scanner, GE rad rooms with Fuji digital plates, and a Philips digital portable x-ray unit
• Position requires both CT and x-ray coverage, with floating to a satellite campus possible
• 12-hour night shifts, Monday through Sunday
• Minimum every other weekend required; schedule may be adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• No block schedules under any circumstances
• Epic EMR used; experience required
• 16-week assignment with potential extension up to 32 weeks
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local; those 51–100 miles away fall under a different pay tier; distance is measured in a straight line, not by driving distance

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required; 5 years preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• CT ARRT and Rad ARRT certifications required
• NY injection certification required
• NY state license required; proof of pending application with applied date accepted if license is not yet issued (note: NY licensing typically takes 6–8 weeks)
• License required if applicable
• Epic experience within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
• At least two professional references from a nurse manager and/or supervisor required, with one from the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required; public transportation is not accessible in this area
• Vehicle must be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging as well as general x-ray and portable x-ray studies
• Floating to a satellite campus may be required
• This is an interview-to-offer position
• Bi-weekly orientations begin on Mondays
• All employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
• Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
