Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of trauma and stroke experience for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in Aiken, SC.

Details

• 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts
• Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule
• Shift times include 6:30 PM and 7:00 AM with call required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience in a US hospital setting, with trauma and stroke experience required
• Associate's Degree or equivalent required; completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program required
• ARRT RT(R)(CT) certification required
• Active BLS certification (AHA only) required
• Active state license required (license required if applicable)
• US SSN required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Additional Information

• Operate CT and radiographic equipment, analyze body habitus to adjust technical factors, and correctly position patients to produce high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure
• Review physician orders and obtain pertinent clinical data prior to performing exams
• Assist physicians during procedures, including room preparation, supply management, and response to contrast reactions and codes
• Schedule and complete exams and enter correct charge codes
• CPI certification may be mandated by position — confirm details during the hiring process
