Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a float pool Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring Cerner proficiency and the ability to float between multiple facilities in the Tucson, AZ area.

Details

• Float pool position requiring willingness to float between multiple facilities in the Tucson, AZ area
• Med/Surg and Telemetry units across multiple floors and departments
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• EMR: Cerner experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or compact license accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include applying the nursing process to deliver safe, patient-centered care in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in care planning and prioritization
• Delegates patient care responsibilities commensurate with staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
