Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a float pool Med/Surg Telemetry position in Tucson, AZ, requiring Cerner proficiency and a willingness to float between multiple facilities.

Details

• Float pool position requiring willingness to float between multiple facilities in the Tucson area
• Potential placement in Med/Surg, Med/Surg Telemetry, Transitional Care, or Emergency Services departments depending on need
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Six weekend shifts required per six-week schedule
• Cerner EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or compact license with AZ as primary state required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

• Responsible for applying the nursing process to deliver safe, patient-centered care in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical leadership, and delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
