Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Oncology) night shift position in Hickory, NC, requiring 2+ years of experience and Cerner proficiency.

Details

• Inpatient Med/Surg unit with an Oncology focus at a 355-bed acute care hospital
• 17-18 bed unit serving an adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of approximately 4:1
• Common diagnoses include pneumonia, COPD, CHF, CVA, and cancer
• Charting via Cerner EMR (experience required)
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to all areas of the facility
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN Med/Surg experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Scrub color is open (any color acceptable)
