Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring at least 2 years of OR experience, pediatric experience, and on-call availability in a multi-specialty adult and pediatric operating room setting.

Details

Hospital operating room serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
Specialties include ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery
12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
On-call is required; details to be discussed with the manager during interview
No block scheduling
Floating is required; travelers are first to float and may float to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the primary facility
EMR: Epic

Requirements

Active FL or compact RN license required
Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
Pediatric OR experience required
Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
Degree accreditation verification required, or 5+ years of nursing experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position

Additional Information

Orientation begins on a Friday; nurses must be present at the facility in person to obtain their badge/ID on that day, so candidates must be in the area by then
All RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and will not be approved after an offer is made
Travelers are expected to function as core staff and integrate fully into the unit culture
Two professional references are required for consideration: one from within the past year and one additional reference
Full DOB, SSN, RN license number, driver's license, and detailed work history (including ratios and unit specifics) are required for consideration
Nursing school accreditation verification (ACEN, CNEA, or CCNE) is required for RNs unless the candidate has 5+ years of experience
