Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and management/charge experience for a 13-week night shift contract in an acute care hospital setting.

Details

Acute care hospital setting within the CT Scan / Diagnostic Imaging department
Patient population includes ER patients; procedures include virtual colonography and gated procedures in addition to general CT
Caseload of 10–20 scans per shift depending on the shift; evenings are the busiest
Two CT scanners on unit: Siemens Sensation 64 and GE 16 Light Speed
Charting via Cerner; McKesson PACS used for imaging
Radiologist is not on-site 24/7; Nighthawk is used for night shift radiology coverage
8-hour night shifts
Holiday coverage follows the same schedule as weekends and is worked into rotation
May float within the Radiology department

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
Management or charge experience required
Active BLS, ARRT-CT, and ARRT-R certifications required; pending certifications will not be accepted
Active CA state license required; pending licenses will not be accepted — license required if applicable
Experience with virtual colonography and gated CT procedures preferred
A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration
2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

Perform general CT scanning including ER studies, virtual colonography, and gated procedures
Teal scrubs required
Orientation consists of 3–4 shifts
Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
