Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery / Antenatal position at a high-risk L&D unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification.

Details

• High-risk Labor & Delivery and Antepartum unit within a 772-bed hospital designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, and Level 2 Trauma Center
• Unit includes 19 labor rooms, 12 antepartum rooms, 4 recovery rooms, 8 triage rooms, 3 OR suites, with approximately 4,000 deliveries annually
• Patient ratio is 2:1
• 12-hour night shifts on a 13-week contract
• Nurses are required to circulate and recover C-sections
• Scheduling on the opposite shift on a monthly basis is possible depending on unit need
• One additional shift per 4-week scheduling cycle is required (on-call shifts are not required)
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in Labor & Delivery
• LDRP or combined L&D and Mother-Baby experience preferred
• Strong ECG interpretation skills required
• Immediate newborn care experience required
• Two professional references dated within the past 12 months
• Skills checklist dated within the past 12 months
• All required licenses and certifications must be current and available

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating and recovering C-section patients
• Orientation is held every Monday
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of profile consideration
• Local candidates are accepted, with the exception of those with a permanent address in Tallahassee
