Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center in Albany, NY.
Details
- Radiology department at a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center
- Patient population includes outpatients, inpatients (stable and ICU-level), emergency/trauma patients, research patients, and those requiring CT-guided procedures
- Evening shift: Monday–Thursday, 12:00 PM–10:30 PM
- No on-call responsibilities
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- Epic EMR experience is required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CT scan experience required
- Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School
- ARRT registration required
- Active NYS Registration in Diagnostic Radiography (or limited permit to practice in New York State) required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA or RQI required
- Epic EMR experience required
- US Social Security Number required
- Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations are not accepted
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
Additional Information
- Perform CT exams and CT-guided procedures across a diverse patient population including trauma, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, ICU, and research patients
- Support radiation safety practices in accordance with New York State Department of Health code part 16
- Technologists are expected to support teaching and ongoing learning as technology evolves
- RTO must be requested at the time of submission for consideration
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- 13-week contract
