Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with robotic and ortho/neuro surgical experience for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in Florida.

Details

• Work in a hospital OR setting with a strong focus on orthopedic, oncology, bariatric, vascular, neuro, trauma, and robotic surgical cases
• 10-hour day shifts, 0630–1700, four days per week with Wednesdays off
• On-call required: approximately one call shift per week after the scheduled day (2–4 hours) and 1–2 twelve-hour weekend call shifts per month
• Epic EMR in use
• Floating is required; travelers are first to float and may float to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the facility

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Robotic surgery and ortho/neuro surgical experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Nursing degree from an accredited program required (ACEN, CNEA, or CCNE); candidates with 5+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of documented accreditation
• Two professional references required: one within the past year, one additional reference acceptable beyond one year
• Full demographic information required for consideration, including address, email, full DOB, SSN, and RN license number
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility's permanent address; this rule is strictly enforced
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application, as no RTO will be approved after submission
• No block scheduling requests will be accepted
• Orientation begins on a Friday with remote orientation followed by an in-person visit to the facility for badge/ID; candidates must be in the area on that Friday
• Hospital provides scrubs
• Travelers are expected to function as core staff members and integrate into the unit culture
• All required compliance documents must be finalized prior to the Monday before the contract start date; no exceptions will be made for pending documents
