Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down (HVTI) position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of Step-Down experience and an active OH or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the HVTI Step-Down unit of a large academic hospital setting
- Potential to float to other units (J1-2, J33) and the ED to care for the same patient population
- Rotating day/night shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Must be available to work at least every other holiday
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact state RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in Step-Down nursing prior to travel
- Minimum 18 months of recent Step-Down experience required (travel experience accepted)
- PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred but not required
- One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in the applicable specialty required for consideration
- PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required, with a maximum of two attempts — failure to pass results in cancellation
- Candidates must complete onsite badging and fingerprinting (BCI/FBI) at the facility prior to their start date; fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
- Pre-start orientation modules are required and average 6–15 hours; completion is tracked via Silkroad
- Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year following their previous end date
- Assignments at any Cleveland Clinic location may not exceed 18 consecutive months; travelers must wait a minimum of 6 months before beginning another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
- Local candidates are accepted
- Background check hits of any kind are reviewed by the facility; open cases will not be accepted
- License hits of any kind are not accepted
- The facility has a strict Do Not Call policy — do not contact the facility directly
- RTO must be discussed and confirmed prior to or during the interview process
