Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Rochester, NY, requiring an active NY RN license and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• 528-bed Magnet-recognized academic teaching hospital affiliated with Cleveland Clinic and Roswell Park
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts)
• 13-week contract
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7
• Epic EMR required
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required, as needed
• Floating required within skillset

Requirements

• Active NY single-state RN license currently in hand (NY is not a Compact state)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Acute care experience within the past 6 months required
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and Rapid Response/Code team activation
• Experience with IV therapy and peripheral line care/management
• Experience with oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

Additional Information

• Certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center with specialized institutes including the Sands-Constellation Heart Institute, Lipson Cancer Institute, and Neuroscience Institute
• Scrub color: any combination of navy blue and white
