Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at an acute care teaching hospital in Rochester, NY, requiring an active NY RN license and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts)
• 13-week contract
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Cardiac monitoring experience required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Clinical skills include nasal cannula and non-invasive oxygen management, IV therapy, phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and isolation precautions
• Epic EMR experience required
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within skillset
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis

Requirements

• Active NY single-state RN license currently in hand (NY is not a Compact state)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele nursing experience
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Epic EMR experience

• Certified Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center with specialized institutes in cardiac, cancer, neuroscience, and surgical oncology
