Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a diagnostic radiology position at a Level I Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital, working 12-hour night shifts every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Details

• Diagnostic radiology department within a large acute care teaching hospital with Level I Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma designations, as well as Chest Pain and Stroke Center designations
• Adult and pediatric patients from the ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses
• Average patient volume of 350–400 patients per day
• Equipment includes Shimadzu RadSpeed general rad room, Intelli-C multipurpose unit, Konica and Shimadzu portables, and GE and Siemens R/F rooms
• EMR: Epic
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (36 hrs/week)
• No rotation between weekdays and weekends — shift and schedule remain consistent per contract
• On-call responsibility is shared on a fair rotation among full-time, part-time, PRN, and travel staff
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic radiology
• Most recent experience must be within the last year
• Current BLS and ARRT-R certification required
• Active state license required, if applicable
• Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
• 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Orientation includes a facility and departmental tour with introductions, plus up to 5 days of departmental orientation (flexible based on traveler needs)
• Department is led by a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager; team includes members with a wide range of experience levels
• Holiday coverage is expected unless time off is approved in advance by the manager
• RTO requires manager approval
