Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with ARRT certification in Radiography for a General Diagnostic Radiology position at an acute care facility.

• General Diagnostic Radiology department setting
• Performs a full range of diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures
• Uses RIS, PACS, CIS, and HIS systems for documentation and image management

Requirements

• Accredited Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required; must maintain active registry status and annual continuing education requirements
• BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
• License required if applicable
• No prior experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include verifying patient identity, obtaining relevant patient history, assessing physical condition, and ensuring patient safety throughout each examination
• Obtains and critiques radiographic images, transmits QA-reviewed images to PACS, and documents procedure completion or cancellation in RIS
• Verifies patient pregnancy status prior to administering ionizing radiation and responds appropriately to emergency situations
• Adheres to departmental protocols and policy and procedures, maintains a clean and safe work environment, and reports equipment issues to appropriate resources
