Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Oncology) position at an acute care hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and a valid MO or compact RN license.
Details
- Medical/Surgical Oncology unit within a 233-bed acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Patient ratio of 1:5–6
- Every other weekend requirement: Saturday and Sunday for day shift
- Floating within scope of practice required to meet facility needs
- Epic EMR used; prior Epic experience is required for this unit
- No on-call responsibilities
- Block scheduling is not available
Requirements
- Active MO RN license or compact RN license; IL candidates may apply with a pending IL license
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Fire Safety
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Navy scrubs required
- Free parking available on-site
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travel RNs may work at a BJC facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- No local candidates accepted; candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
