Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a CV Imaging department, requiring ARRT RT(R) and RT(CT) certifications along with an active NJ license.

Details

• Cardiovascular imaging department within an acute care hospital setting
• 5x8 hour AM shifts per week, Sunday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM and Monday–Thursday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• On-call is required for this position
• Charting is done in Epic
• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital as needed

Requirements

• ARRT RT(R) and ARRT RT(CT) certifications required
• Active NJ state X-ray license (NJDEP) required — license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• HS diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Radiographer Technical training program required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform routine and emergent CT procedures, including triage and coordination of unscheduled and emergency scans
• Assess patients for contrast tolerance, screen for allergies and medication incompatibilities, and monitor patient condition before and after contrast injections
• Follow established protocols for time-sensitive cases including Code Grey and trauma activations, including immediate image acquisition, processing, and PACS/RIS verification
• Adhere to venipuncture and power injector protocols
• Maintain QA/QC requirements per daily, monthly, and ACR specifications and report equipment malfunctions promptly
• Participate in daily inventory, stocking, and cleanliness of CT rooms, gantry, table, and peripheral equipment
• Communicate patient status across departments and ensure timely post-procedure patient transport when assigned as Point staff
