Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Acute Care Float Pool position requiring PICU and NICU experience, with night shift availability across multiple pediatric units.

Details

• Float pool position rotating across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts)
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 13-week contract
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending; note: certification has an out-of-pocket cost of $185)
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• Experience with prior NICU/PICU float pool work is a plus
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate must be comfortable floating across all assigned pediatric units in accordance with their clinical experience
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
