Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Telemetry) position requiring at least 1 year of telemetry experience and a valid MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
• Telemetry patient population in a step-down/progressive care environment
• 12-hour night shifts, 18:45–07:15
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required unless time off is pre-approved via RTO
• Floating to other units is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• EMR: Altera Sunrise (formerly Allscripts), noted to be very similar to Cerner — prior experience not required

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry RN experience required
• BSN preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• New graduates will not be considered for this position
• Orientation spans approximately 5 days: days 1–2 consist of a system-wide orientation, day 3 covers facility and clinical orientation, day 4 continues clinical orientation, and day 5 focuses on computer training before assignment to the unit
• This is a nicotine-free facility
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
