Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications, working night shifts at a hospital in Georgia.

Details

• Works in the Emergency Services department of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) state or Compact license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted for all)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) or Stroke Certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• DOB and SSN required for consideration
• Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP/DCI) training required — can be completed via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, or the CDC's free NIOSH resource

Additional Information

• Responsible for delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Communicates with physicians regarding changes in patient clinical condition, diagnostic results, and symptomatology
• Must be knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and mandated reporting requirements for child and adult abuse
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred
